Andrew Huang of Songs To Wear Pants To was bowled over by US gymnastics competitor Gabby Douglas and decided to write a song to cheer her on, EVEN THOUGH HE’S CANADIAN.

I illustrated the pictures of Gabby and her dad. Yay!

I’ve been looking forward to unveiling this video for about 2 months and I’m proud to say, here it is!!

Shooting this video was waaaay more fun than I was expecting so I’ll just let the cat out of the bag and say that there’s already another one on the way!

Also, we did this project while Andrew Huang and Gunnarolla were in town on their NY tour. These guys are tops. Here they are, mugging on my little set.

It was for another video by Songs To Wear Pants To that features my graphics! Before I knew the details I couldn’t help but be totally amused and intrigued by the picture request list I received.

“Dear Cat,

Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to draw a banana, a roll of tape, rocket  pop, a colander, one pirate sword, an old-timey popcorn maker…. “

Um, I accept.

I love how the angry bear and forest backdrop turned out.  Andrew’s slo-mo eye-poke and ski mask dance also crack me up every time I watch it.
