To mark what should be my last wedding-related post (at least about OUR wedding), here’s a gif of Dmitri Von Klein, our wedding photographer, and I in the photo booth at the reception.
I may be the last person on this whole gif wagon but they are fun! I made mine here.
did anyone notice the disappearing purple disk?
Remember this teaser?
It was for another video by Songs To Wear Pants To that features my graphics! Before I knew the details I couldn’t help but be totally amused and intrigued by the picture request list I received.
“Dear Cat,
Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to draw a banana, a roll of tape, rocket  pop, a colander, one pirate sword, an old-timey popcorn maker…. “
Um, I accept.
I love how the angry bear and forest backdrop turned out. Â Andrew’s slo-mo eye-poke and ski mask dance also crack me up every time I watch it.
I should start numbering these. Anyway, here’s the latest batch of excellent and fun stop-motions I’ve seen on the web.
Jennifer Strunge makes fun plush monsters that you can buy. She also has a stop-motion site intro!
This music video makes excellent use of dramatic perspectives using a 3-D set for their stop motion.
[vimeo http://vimeo.com/21929878]Another music video, this one by Wolf Parade.
This video is a great art pep talk. It uses some traditional stop-motion but also a very cool live action technique!
The super cute, “Do You Believe in Magic”, was made by some friends out in Carbondale, IL.
And to end, here is a fun lego meets Green Lantern bit by my friend Andrew Jive, always a favorite here at create.
Please email me links to any stop-motion videos you’d like to see in this blog.
Songs To Wear Pants To is going on tour with the equally talented Gunnarolla and they’re coming to a Portland, Oregon near you!
I’m looking at you friends on the left coast! You guys should get out and support them by going to their show, you know… whenever or wherever it is. I am 100% positive it’s going to be super fun.
Also, these videos feature an illustration of mine, Â pinky, the senior portrait unicorn.
