I got a commission to paint to two of my flower pictures for a kid’s room.
These babies need homes and for $35 + shipping per picture, they will be painted in the color(s) of your choice and winging their way to your lovely home. They measure 8″x10″ each.
Customization begins upon completion of Paypal payment and will look similar to this.

Remember the feather project?
I was painting over a sheet of watercolor paper and by the time I was done, I had this.
Lately I’ve been combing over and inspired by Alisa Burke’s blog. She is constantly making messy and beautiful art so I decided to transform my under sheet into something else.
It’s not QUITE in the spirit of her work but it was fun to make.
After discovering Mark Montano’s post here, I decided to send some paper feathers to friends.
First, I cut them from white paper.
Then I decided to personalize them by painting them the recipient’s favorite color. Painting them was fun because the individual little cuts sucked paint up via capillary action and made them look even cooler.
Here they are all painted and dried.
It was at this stage that I had to figure out how to send them safely in the mail. My solution was to make custom sleeves from foamcore and black paper. Here are some in their sleeves.
I sealed them up with coordinating washi tape and tucked them into envelopes and from what I hear, they arrived safely. Huzzah!
Typically I loooove hunting for a new calendar at the end of the year. The more absurd the better! Last year the choice was hard between ‘Unique Chickens’, and ‘Adult Tree Houses’, (Tree Houses won out). Either way, some how we didn’t manage it this year so I decided to make our own.
I started January off with my first resolution. NO HARD A. Just for one month, I figure it can’t hurt right? It’s been a drinky holiday season.
More resolutions will likely show up in following months…
After the successful reception of my first toes illustration (see below), I decided to make another.
The toe-card might have an esoteric market but I think it’ll be a fun one. Here’s the new picture.
